Kindergarten Information
In June, Kindergarten families should have received information about their child's orientation time. Kindergarten students will have an opportunity to attend in small groups for their orientation between August 29 - September 4. Regular classes for Kindergarten will begin on September 5 (Group B) and September 6 (Group A). If you have any questions about the date and time of your child's orientation, please contact the office at 780-416-9018.
Grades 1 - 6 Unpack Your Backpack & Meet the Staff
Grades 1 – 6 students and families will have an opportunity to drop off school supplies and say hello to their teacher from 5:30 – 6:30 pm on Wednesday, August 28. This is the day prior to the start of school. The office will send out a School Messenger to all families on the morning of August 28 letting guardians know who their child's teacher is and their classroom location. We look forward to seeing our elementary students and families that evening!
If you are unable to make it on August 28, don't worry - Families can accompany their child(ren) to their classroom on the first day of classes.
Junior High Orientation
On Wednesday, August 28 from 2:00 - 3:00pm, we will be hosting a junior orientation for all Grade 7 students along with any NEW Grade 8 or 9 students. Families may arrive between 1:45 - 2:00 pm. We recognize that parents may be unable to attend and therefore students are allowed to attend on their own. Parents may also drop their child off and pick them up at 3:00 pm. Upon arrival, families can proceed directly to the Kona (large) gym.
The orientation will start with a staff welcome and a short presentation at 2:00 pm in the Kona gym. Following the presentation, students will receive their timetables, get their locks and lockers, and receive a tour of our school. Teachers will be in their classes and will be available to answer any questions you may have.
Junior High Meet the Staff Event
All junior high students and families will be able to meet their teachers and staff during the evening of Wednesday, August 28 from 5:30 – 6:30pm. This will coincide with our elementary Unpack Your Backpack event taking place at the same time. We hope to see all students and families that evening!
Junior High Timetables and First Day of Class
All junior high students will be able to access their timetable on August 28 at noon through PowerSchool. Students will also receive a hard copy of their timetable the first day of classes. Grades 7, 8 and 9 students are asked to proceed directly to their Day 1/Block 1 class on the first day of school.
