MONROE ELEMENTARY
November 1, 2023
Message from the Principal
Dear Monroe families,
As we step into the vibrant colors of fall and embrace the crisp autumn air, we are thrilled to share the latest updates and highlights from our wonderful school. This month, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for the incredible support we have received, particularly from our PTA and the entire Monroe Elementary community.
Huge Thank You to PTA for Our Fun Run Success!
The Monroe Elementary Fun Run was a fantastic event filled with laughter, excitement, and boundless energy. We would like to extend a huge thank you to our PTA for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to making this event a tremendous success. From coordinating volunteers to organizing the event logistics, they played a pivotal role in ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Your dedication to the well-being and growth of our students is truly remarkable. The funds raised during the Fun Run will help support various school programs and initiatives that benefit every child at Monroe. Without your unwavering support and enthusiasm, this event would not have been possible.
Thank You to the Monroe Elementary Community
Monroe Elementary School is not just a building; it's a community of passionate educators, caring parents, and, of course, our amazing students. We are genuinely grateful for the continuous support and involvement of our school community. Your commitment to our students and your belief in their potential is inspiring.
Thank You to Ms. Noble and Mr. Dersom
We also want to give a special shout-out to Ms. Noble, whose dedication to updating the donations board every day is invaluable to us. Ms. Noble's tireless efforts help us track and celebrate the contributions of our generous community. Your commitment to ensuring that everyone's support is acknowledged and appreciated does not go unnoticed. Thank you, Ms. Noble, for your hard work and dedication!
Furthermore, we'd like to extend our gratitude to Mr. Dersom for the outstanding videos he created and the tireless effort he put into advertising our Fun Run with Regal the Eagle. The impact of these videos in promoting the event and boosting enthusiasm among our students cannot be overstated. Your creativity and dedication are truly appreciated.
As we move forward into this academic year, let's carry the spirit of unity and support that defines Monroe Elementary. Together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of our students, providing them with the best possible educational experience.
Wishing you all a wonderful autumn season!
GO EAGLES!

NATURAL LEADERS
Who are we?
Natural Leaders are multicultural parents and family members that serve as a bridge between families, school, and communities.
What do we do?
Natural Leaders does not cost anything. Build strong relationships with other multicultural/multilingual families, to ensure participation and representation in our schools while we support our children.
Why do we do it?
We want all families to be represented, and we encourage them to be more active in our kid's education. Parent involvement leads to student success!

We hit the ground running in October with some fun events! We had our PTA Popcorn Friday, Fun Run and our Pumpkin night. We have had so much fun. With that said, those events could not have gone as smoothly as they did without YOU!! By volunteering, you have made not only memories with your student but have made these events possible! Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to have these events. If you are reading this and wondering how to volunteer, you can start here:

Thank you so much for your support of our annual fun run! We are still finalizing the total amounts raised by each class as well as participation and number of donations and will share that shortly.
We had 432 runners and a total of 7898 laps (718 miles)! Our Eagles did such a great job at the run and have started to receive some of their school-wide prizes.
