- The online reporting system and the 1-866-listen2me phone system are for staff, students and parents to report concerns which may affect the peace of mind of students or jeopardize the safety of people or school facilities. Press Pause......Welcome Richwood Independent Fair
Press Pause... We say that a lot around our house. It's powerful tool to be able to stop your self from a downward spiral and get your mind right. I know its something that I work on every day as a leader, husband, and dad. The fair break in a lot of ways gives us this "press pause" after a fury of two weeks of school. I know this is often a hot topic, some people love it, some people not so much. Regardless of your opinion make it positive and use it as a way to press pause reflect on our first two weeks of school and consider what you might do different moving through the rest of the semester. Also don't forget to take care of yourself! Sneak away on a quick trip, reconnect with friends and family, or like some of us, get your animals ready for show day! Whatever the your case may be I hope that you stay cool and take some time to "press pause" reflect and refresh! Hope to see many of you at the fair! Enjoy your break.
The Run Down
Dear Wildcat Family,
Enjoy your break! I hope to see many of you at the fair! We will have a tent staffed with admin from 1-3 out by the secretaries office, stop in and see us if you can. 3 other people who put a lot of sweat equity in at the fair our FFA Advisors, Tom Jolliff, Breck Mooneyham, and Bailey Wagner! Be sure to go through the barns and show arena and say hi to them! And of course don't forget our students who are excited to show off their projects, skills, and talents at the fair. The fair is a great example of how awesome our community is with its support and generosity for our kids, the fair would not be the same without this.
Go Wildcats!

District Updates
Human Resources
- We are always looking for substitute teachers, drivers, custodians, and kitchen staff. If you know somebody that you think would be a good fit for our district please encourage them to apply at our website!
Operations
- Gate removed from the north end of the football field and replaced with a new fence with a gate big enough to get the mower through.
- We had a great turn out for our first home football game of the season. We ask that you read the building newsletters that come out with regard to spectator participation at our events. In addition, due to concerns about our students safety we will not be permitting students to play on the practice field during the game, nor will be allowing students to linger behind the bleachers during the game. We love seeing our students at the game in the stands encouraging our teams and band. This also allows us to better supervise the students in the addition of your support. Thank you!
Technology
- We are updating our web page.
- If you have not had the opportunity to download our app please do! It has great quick features with it.
Curriculum
- We are rolling out IXL grades 4-12. This will help align our data and provide interventions and growth components. This is new and will take some time for all of our staff to get into rhythm with. We appreciate your patience as we implement this.
