HOLY ROSARY SCHOOL
NEWSLETTER | TERM 3 | WEEK 1 | 21 JULY 2023
Every time God forgives—seventy times seven, apparently—God is showing a preference and capacity for sustaining relationship over being right, distant, superior, and separate. We are slow learners in that regard. The unilateral “covenant love” promised by the prophets is God’s absolute ability to sustain relationship with everything and, finally, to overcome our resistance by the same allurement “that moves the sun and the other stars” as Dante Alighieri (1265–1321) would put it. It is all one and the same stream of Love.
Richard Rohr, What Do We Do with Evil?
Hi Everyone,
As week one of term three draws to a close we give thanks for the deeply enjoyable experiences which have come our way. My thanks to you for having your children so well prepared to return and embrace the term, and to our teachers for investing much time in the break ensuring a calm, smooth, productive start for our children. It takes plenty of work to get to this point and I am very grateful for that commitment.
We welcome our new staff Misty Waters and Sarah Stajka in Year Four and Alexandra Coltrona in Year Five. It is wonderful to have you here and we wish you a very very rewarding and fulfilling experience at Holy Rosary.
It will come as no surprise that a few reminders form part of this newsletter. Please support them. They contribute significantly to the Holy Rosary experience!
Have a good weekend
