Grade 7 Field Trip
On Tuesday, May 28th, the 7th graders visited Animal Adventures Zoo and Rescue Center in Bolton MA. Students participated in a "show and tell" with many exotic animals and were able to enjoy several interactive exhibits where they could pet bunnies, turtles and feed the goats. The zookeepers shared important information about animal adaptations, ecological relationships, invasive species and the impact humans have on ecosystems, which allowed students to make great connections to what they are learning in science class! It was a great day!

We were entertained by the stories of Athena and Arachne, Pyramus and Thisbe, King Midas and the Golden Touch, The Trojan Horse and other Greek myths. The students created props and betted out their lines to their enthusiastic classmates, teachers, and administration. Every one of them deserves a Tony award!

.
GRADE 8 BARBIE BUNGEE JUMPING ACTIVITY
Our eighth grade math teachers, Michelle Shepardson and Arppana George have coordinated and collaborated to create a fun and mathematical project. In this Barbie bungee jump activity, students simulate a bungee jump using rubber bands. They start by collecting data in the classroom, measuring the jump distance with 1 to 10 rubber bands. After gathering the data, they create a scatter plot and determine the equation of the line of best fit. Using this equation, students predict the number of rubber bands needed for a safe and thrilling jump from the top of the bleachers.
MRS. SCOTLAND'S CLASS VISITED THE LIBRARY
