Hello, Titus Family!

We had a great week at Titus!

I am thrilled to share some exciting updates and upcoming events happening at Titus.

Firstly, I am delighted to announce the installation of our new school sign (check out the picture!). This stunning addition to our campus not only enhances our school's appearance but also serves as a welcoming beacon for our community. I am incredibly proud of this new addition, and I feel it truly adds to our great school - I hope you share in my excitement. It's a beauty!

We have a busy week ahead filled with fun and engaging activities.

Please mark your calendars for the following events:

• Field Day: Our annual Field Day will take place next Wednesday, May 22nd. Students were assigned colors (either gold or black) this week and will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of outdoor games and activities, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness. It promises to be a day filled with laughter and excitement!
• Visitors are welcome, but please understand that, for security reasons, visitors are asked to remain outside - thank you for your understanding.

• Early Dismissal: Next Thursday, May 23rd, we will have an early dismissal. Please note that students will be released from school at 11:55am.

• No School: Next Friday, May 24th and Monday, May 27th, there will be no school as we honor and celebrate Memorial Day.

Titus was thrilled to host a guest author assembly yesterday (Thursday) with the talented duo behind the "Tucker and Zoey Adventures" series! This special event was not just about storytelling; it was a celebration of the furry friends who enrich our lives every day. "Tucker and Zoey Adventures" encapsulate the spirit of EMPATHY (one of our school character traits!) and companionship, showcasing the remarkable bond between humans and their rescue pets.

Tim Feather, the talented illustrator, and Christian Bensing, the creative mind behind "Tucker and Zoey Adventures" presented in the morning to our primary grades and in the afternoon to our intermediate grades. Through their charming tales, Tim and Christian inspired our Titus Tigers to open their hearts to animals in need of a second chance. Tim and Christian also shared their creative process and how they met in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! and today work together as a creative team.

Please ask your child about this fun assembly - it was one to remember!

Titus will expect all potential volunteers to complete their paperwork for clearances prior to assuming any volunteer/chaperone role within the school. This will ensure we are in line with district and state expectations.

Who Needs Clearances: An individual who is responsible for the child's welfare or has direct contact with children. Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children to obtain background checks and clearances. In the best interest of the safety and security of our students, Central Bucks School District required the submission of these clearances prior to volunteering during the school year. Approved volunteers are given an identification card to be presented at the school (along with your photo ID, such as a driver's license) when volunteering. Please allow 7-10 days after you have submitted your online application for receipt of the ID card.
