Last Recess for Metea Grads!
All Metea graduates are welcome to come back to where it all started! Friday, May 24th! Come to NYE at 2:40PM. We will ask parents to stay outside the building. Students will be welcomed into the building. They will then leave through the front doors, walk around the building and end on the playground. This event will be rain or shine!
5th Grade Clap Out
5th Graders will "clap out" on their last day of school. 5th graders will parade within the school and leave the front doors where they will be greeted by their loved ones. We ask that all visitors remain outside of the building.
Nancy Young PTA FUN FAIR!
Wednesday, May 29th from 6-8pm
Nancy Young PTA is excited to host our annual end of the year Fun Fair! There will be games, prizes, a giant slide, football toss game, concessions, raffle baskets and a ton of fun to be had!!
CONGRATS NITARA, ADDISON and KABIR!
Nitara received an honorary mention for her reflections project called, "The hopeful world of Annie". Nitara was even recognized at the Illinois state level!
Addison and Kabir were also state finalists! Addison's project was "Welcome to Wonderland" and Kabir's project was "PRI The New Beginning" CONGRATS to all three amazing students!

Reminders from Nurse Kellie
Incoming kindergarteners are required to provide a State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination and State of Illinois Eye Examination report by October 15th, 2024. Failure to provide proper documentation may result in an exclusion from school.
Out going 5th graders need to provide the middle school with a State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination and proof of updated immunizations by October 15th , 2024. Failure to provide proper documentation may result in an exclusion from school.
If your student will have medication in the health office for the 2024/2025 school year, new physician orders will be required and must be turned into the health office. Between now and October 15th is a VERY busy time for pediatricians. Please be sure to call and get an appointment to avoid school exclusion for the 2024/2025 school year!

Arrival: Doors open at 8:50. Bell rings at 9:05. Students should be in class and ready to learn at 9:05.
Dismissal: 3:35 Every Day
WEDNESDAY Hours
Arrival on Wednesdays ONLY-Doors open at 9:00 and bell rings at 9:15.
Dismissal: 3:35
Early Dismissal
If you need to take your child out early, please email the teacher and contact the main office at (630) 375 - 3800 Note: Per district Policy - parents/guardians will not be allowed within the school building from 8:50 - 9:15 and from 3:15 - until after dismissal.
