It is good to be back! Mr. Pretre, our new assistant principal/athletic director, said to me a week ago: "We just need the students to be back!" I know I have said the same thing almost every year I've been in education. It was so good to have students back in the building beginning with our opening assembly, where everyone listened intently to the changes that have been implemented this year. The main one: no cell phones in classrooms. Everything was well-received and there definitely was excitement in the air to get things started off right. Students especially liked the new addition of Fri-Yay MHS. You can check out the latest one below.

Parents and guardians, we need your support as always. With the earlier start time of 8:00 AM, please make sure your students are getting to school on time. Remember to call 562-5386 by 8:15 AM if your student is sick and cannot make it. Our office is open from 7:30-4:00 so please communicate with us whenever something comes up. Help us make this the best year yet!

We are stealing an idea that the Marysville Chamber did this summer. Tommy McNish, our media director at MJSHS, made fun videos on Fridays for the Chamber and called them Fri-Yay. Some of our seniors did a nice job making videos about all Marysville has to offer. Our version will be called Fri-Yay MHS and will be a video of the coming week, may talk about some of the cool things going on at school, and will be a chance to celebrate birthdays. It will be hosted by seniors. We hope to post it to all our social media by Friday evenings and of course, will also put it in our weekly newsletter. We hope you enjoy it.

Students heard all about all the activities and clubs that Marysville Junior Senior High School has to offer. Students then rushed to sign up for everything they wanted to get involved in. It was a huge success!
