Greetings TVMS community,
Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful and restful winter break. As we kick off the new year, we’re excited to see our students back and ready to learn.
As a reminder, students should not wear headphones or ear pods while at school. This helps us maintain a safe and focused learning environment. We appreciate your support in reinforcing this expectation with your child.
We also want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU for your support in donations towards our Holiday Assistance efforts. THANK YOU to all the families and staff members that donated to the cause with gift cards and/or specific donation items during our Donation Spirit Week. This year's holiday assistance program offered community connections and resources to almost 50 TVMS families and was definitely a success due to our strong community efforts!
Thank you for your continued support.
Mrs. Denise Young, Principal

High School Course Registration
The Rising 9th grade course registration window opened on December 16th and will close on January 14th. Before winter break, Ms. Malone, 8th grade counselor, visited classes and presented a screencast reviewing graduation requirements, academic courses, and college and career opportunities in high school. Additionally, a guided video was shown instructing students on the steps to review and select courses for the 25-26 school year. To assist students and parents with this process, Student Services has compiled a list of links in one document. Hopefully these resources will be of help. Families also have the opportunity to attend information sessions for Guilford Park and Oakland Mills high schools. Should you have questions or concerns, please contact your student's counselor.
