THE WEEK OF JANUARY 6 - JANUARY 10, 2025
We Made It to Winter Break! 🎉
We made it! As we close out the halfway mark of the school year, we want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing staff, students, and parents for your dedication, hard work, and support.
As we head into the well-deserved winter break, we encourage everyone to take advantage of this time to disconnect and recharge. Whether it’s getting outdoors, spending quality time with loved ones, diving into a good book, indulging in some extra sleep, setting your phone to "do not disturb," or finally catching up on that Netflix series you’ve been eager to binge watch or do whatever fills your cup.
A special shoutout to the Walnut High Community Club for spreading holiday cheer and giving out FREE HOT CHOCOLATE to all our students as the final bell rang.

Thanks to their guidance, kindness, and dedication, the team of five 7th graders has achieved incredible milestones:
- At their first FLL competition at Diamond Bar High School, the team advanced to the Regional competition and won the “Best Design” Award.

Student Classroom Expectations
As we continue to strive for academic excellence, it’s essential to adhere to the following expectations:
Attendance and Punctuality: You must attend every class, every day, and be on time. Regular attendance is crucial for your success.
Preparedness: Bring all necessary materials to class each day. You will not be excused from class to retrieve forgotten items.
Homework and Classwork: Complete all assignments on time and to the best of your ability. This is vital to your learning and progress.
Behavior: Only behaviors that support the learning environment are acceptable. Respect your classmates, your teachers, and the educational process.
Compliance: Follow all reasonable requests made by any staff member. Cooperation is key to maintaining a positive and productive environment.
Dress Code: The dress code will be enforced. Please ensure you are dressed appropriately according to the school’s guidelines.
Thank you for your attention to these important matters. Let’s work together to create a successful and respectful learning environment.
Attendance Counts
Please remember that attendance counts, every period, every day. Students will be marked absent if they are not present at the beginning of each period to verify their attendance.
All single-period absences will need to be reconciled through the attendance office by the student. If marked absent, student and parent/guardian will receive a notification from the attendance office informing them of the absence. The notification will include the date and period of the absence. The student will need to contact the Attendance Department to make any necessary corrections to their individual period attendance. For full-day absences, a parent/guardian must contact the attendance office by the end of the day.
Attendance Reporting Hotline:

9 & 10 Grades: 909 - 444-3642
