Dear Page Families,
Welcome back from Thanksgiving Break and to the first week of December. The countdown to winter break starts today, it is 19 days away. Here are the weekly updates and some important information.
1. Cognitive Abilities Test (CoGat Testing) - Students in grades 2 and 3 will take the CogAT from December 2, 2024-December 20, 2024. This data will be one criteria that will be used to determine gifted and talented designation. To learn more about CogAT, parents and caregivers are invited to watch the short video: Getting to know CogAT for Parents
2. Update your Contact Information - It is also important to stay connected with your child’s school. We want to make sure we can reach you quickly in emergencies or to share important updates. Your contact information is private, will not be shared, and is only used to support your child’s safety. This information can be updated in ParentVUE or via this form.
3. Reminder - Federal Impact Aid Survey - Parent and Guardians will receive a Federal Impact Aid Survey printed on pink paper. Each year, schools send out a survey in connection with Title VII of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (Impact Aid). The United States Department of Education funds school districts that have many students with parents or guardians connected to the federal government and live on certain federal housing properties. The purpose of the funds is to reimburse school districts for the loss of property taxes from tax-exempt federal properties. The amount of funds received is based on the number of completed surveys received from parents or guardians who are on active duty with the uniformed services, employed on federal property, reside in federal or public housing, and/or are a foreign government military officer. Forms must be completed and returned by December 6th.
4. 2024-2025 Parent/Guardian Family Engagement Survey -The 2024-2025 Parent/Guardian Family Engagement Survey (English and Spanish Google forms) went out to parents and guardians via Remind, on Friday, Nov. 22nd. Please take a moment to complete.
