NEWS FROM MRS. COLE
In the library, we will read stories that celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and learn about his message of peace and justice. Later this month, we will learn about the Caldecott Medal, which is awarded to the most distinguished picture book for children in the United States each year. The 2025 Caldecott Medal will be awarded at the end of the month. We will be tuning in to see who wins!
NEWS FROM THE PARENTS PLACE
Welcome Back from Title I and the Family Resource Center! I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and had a fun, family-filled winter break. It’s hard to believe that we are already half way through the school year! If you haven’t had an opportunity to come by and visit the Family Resource Center, now is a great time. We have many resources available just for parents, books and DVDs that can be checked out of the resource library at any time. Also, if you have time to Volunteer, we could use your help anytime between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. We encourage all parents, grandparents, and guardians to get involved with their child’s education.
If you have any suggestions on how to improve our Title I Program, budget input, or school
improvement, we welcome your comments. See Kathy Honeycutt, Parent Involvement

and participate in decisions made relating to your child’s education. If you have any
