YES POTENTIAL BOND PROJECT
Y.E.S Families,
In August, the Board of Education approved seeking a 39.5 million dollar bond for the expansion and renovation of York Elementary School. This is very exciting for us, as we know that we have a lot of students in our building, and we feel that we are out of room. York Public Schools is trying to do everything we can to help educate the public on the needs of Y.E.S, and that includes all of our current Y.E.S Families!
I encourage you to come to one of our remaining open houses to hear about the potential project, and to visit our website to learn more as well. Parents that are in our building frequently have commented that attending an open house and touring the building helped them learn many new things about Y.E.S!
Open Houses:
Monday, October 7th at 6:30pm
Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30pm
Visit our website to learn more as well: https://yorkdukesbond.com/ On our website, you can see the financial impact this bond will have, check your voter registration, as well as visit our FAQ page to get the answers to many questions that have been asked.
York Elementary School is a special place -- we are fortunate to get to work with great students and families every day, and we have a dedicated staff who is passionate about providing a quality education for your child. This bond would allow us to continue the rich traditions of supporting and serving our community, so I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about the project and becoming an informed voter on November 5th.
If you have any questions about the project, I encourage you to reach out. I’d be happy to discuss any of your questions or concerns.
