📣 Families! Here's What's Happening This Week:

🔬 If you have not already, please RSVP (use the QR code posted below) for this event no later than Monday, March 3rd- Join Us this Thursday from 5-630pm for our STEAM Night!!
Woodwinds Orchestra is coming to perform for our 3rd graders this week
🎒 School Enrollment is open for the 2025/2026 school year for all new students. (With the exception of Preschool enrollment which will open at a later date). For more information on the enrollment process you can visit here.
In order to be sure that your student's absence is updated in the system, if you have a child that will not be at school, please contact the main office so this can go through attendance with our attendance secretary. This is imperative that families contact the school when a student will be absent. If your child has a doctor's appointment, it can be exempt with a note from the doctor.

STAY UP TO DATE WITH OUR SCHOOL DELAYS/ CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHER! 🌨️In order to keep up with School Cancellations/ Delays due to the weather, please be sure you have an updated email address and phone number on file. These announcements will be made from the district.
Students cannot enter the building prior to 8:30am. There will be no additional supervision available before that time in the morning, therefore dropping them off as close to that time as possible is strongly encouraged. Additionally, school is dismissed at 3:50pm. Please be sure that you have transportation set up for your student(s) so that they are picked up at this time. We do have Champions After School Care available for students who may need daycare after our school hours.
Cold weather is here! Please be sure to send your students with appropriate clothing for the weather as we will go outside if it is 11 degrees or higher out (with wind-chill). If you are in need of winter clothing gear for your students, please reach out to our counselor and we would be happy to help!
Please do not park in front of the school during pick up time as we have busses that need to park there. Additionally, please follow all safety guidelines from our staff members. They are there to ensure student's safety and that the process runs smoothly.
There are new attendance laws for all Iowa Schools. You can find a copy of the policy at the bottom of this newsletter. Please understand this is a statewide law.

Important Information: Please review and update your contact information in Infinite Campus to ensure effective communication. Accurate information helps us maintain our comprehensive school safety plans. Please take a moment to verify the following:

Personal contact details (phone numbers and email addresses).
Emergency contact information. Best practice would include more than one contact.
Approved individuals who can pick up your child from school.

Leprechaun Bait 🍀

Hello families! Each month, we get together with our buddy classrooms and do some kind of activity.

For the month of March, we are going to make Leprechaun bait. It will consist of pretzels, M&M's, popcorn, rainbow belts, rolos, and Lucky Charms. We are asking for donations to help us complete the fun and easy snack! Here is the link to sign up to bring something. Please have all donations to the office by Wednesday, March 12th.
