Our spring musical concert will take place on Thursday, May 15 at 10:00 AM. This will include our Grade 5 and Grade 6 students. Parents/Guardians of Grade 5 and Grade 6 students are invited to attend. A memo was sent out to the Grade 5 and Grade 6 families with more information.

There is a professional learning day for staff at Roncalli Elementary on Friday, May 16th, 2025. There is no school for students on this day.

Trackfest is happening this Saturday, May 10th at MUN Field House. We have over 40 students registered for this event! This event is free of charge, if you are out and about feel free to drop by to cheer on our ROCKETS! Check out the schedule here. Thank you to Ms. Martin for working with the children to prepare.

Hopefully the sun and warmer temperatures will make an appearance soon! With this being said, we do ask that parents/guardians apply sunscreen to your child(ren) before they leave home in the morning, in case they spend time outside during the day. If you do send sunscreen in with your child, please note that they must be able to apply it themselves, and that only lotion sunscreen is permitted, no aerosols sprays please.

Online Registration for Kinderstart (2025 - 2026) - Kindergarten (2026 - 2027) will get underway next week as per the NLSchools' School Zoning, Student Registration and Transfers (PROG-311) policy. The registration for Roncalli families will be open starting Wednesday, May 14 @ 9:00 AM and ending on Thursday, May 15 @ 11:59 PM.

You will need the following in order to complete an online application:

1. MCP number including expiration date;
2. An email address in order to receive confirmation of receipt of your application;
3. What school you are zoned for (Please use the School Catchment Viewer HERE);
4. Contact phone number and an emergency contact phone number; and,
5. An Internet-ready device

To complete the registration process, proof of address and confirmation of MCP number must be provided to the school via email (trinapearce@nlschools.ca) or in person on or before May 30, 2025.

Please note that this registration process is for children who will attend KinderStart in the upcoming 2025 - 2026 school year and Kindergarten in the following 2026 - 2027 school year. Children registered in KinderStart will automatically be registered to attend Kindergarten.

***To register for this, children must be five (5) years of age on or before December 31, 2026.
