UP swim finals took place on Saturday and our Mountaineer swimmers had great day in the pool!

The team finished with five individual UP Champion races and our Iron Mountain swimmers took 3 of them. They also had two relay teams take the top spot, Bryce & Joey were apart of the winning 200 Medley relay.

Students from Iron Mountain Public Schools and the following schools will be participating in Reading Olympics this year due in part to a generous contribution from a Dickinson Area Community Foundation grant: Kingsford, Niagara, North Dickinson County, Norway-Vulcan, Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine, Florence, and Goodman-Armstrong Creek.

Congratulations to the 5-12th Grade Student of the Week, sixth grader, Anastasia Taylor! Ana is the daughter of Andrew Taylor (dad) and Jessica and Jeff Battan. Ana is a very sweet girl. She helps others in the classroom, is an excellent friend, and tries hard every day! She also helps her mom with her community service project called Compassion for Chemo 906. Outside of school Ana does competitive gymnastics. We can't wait to see the impact Ana makes on this community when she is older!

Tri-H-Y is sponsoring a UP Regional Blood Drive on Wednesday, February 26th from 9:00-1:00 in the Izzo-Mariucci Center. We accept 16 year-old donors, with a signed parental permission form. Otherwise, you must be 17 years old and weigh 110 pounds to be eligible to donate. Please sign up with Mrs. Carey during seminar today and help save a life!

(Note: NFHS will still be used for MHSAA tournaments)

Streaming prices are as follows:

$5.00/sporting event

$20.00/season/sport (all levels included)

$60.00/year (All broadcasted sports: Football, Basketball, Wrestling, Volleyball, Soccer)

Starting in February we will only be able to accept receipts from January 2025 until our February date.

Starting in 2025 Super One will only be accepting receipts on a quarterly basis (example January-March 2025 receipts must be submitted by the end of March)

We realize how much our students look forward to our monthly school store so moving forward we will be accepting both cash and receipts every month!

This event invites teens to choose a dress and/or accessories, such as a tie, shoes, and jewelry, free of charge. Teens do not need to donate an item or be a library card holder to participate. All are welcome! Dresses and accessories will be available for browsing during library hours beginning at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 28 through 4:30 PM on Sunday, March 2.
