PROGRESS 1 GRADES
Progress 1 Grades Are Available Now!
Progress 1 grades for Quarter 1 are finalized and were available on Friday, September 20th via the San Juan Parent Portal*.
Progress 1 grades were also handed out in 6th period classes on Friday, September 20th.
Progress Grades are simply a snapshot of your student's learning and progress in their classes at this point in time. Quarter 1 does not officially end until October 18, 2024, which is when your student's grades become final and become a part of their official transcript. So there is still time for students to show their learning and to improve their grades before the end of Quarter 1.
Please take this opportunity to discuss your student's progress in their classes with your student and to look in the Parent or Student Portal together for specific grade and assignment information. If you have any questions or concerns about your student's learning or grades, please contact your student's teachers directly.
*For Pin and Password information, please use the Forgot your Pin? and Reset Your Password options on the Login page of the Parent Portal.
Thank you!

Superintendent's Parent Advisory Committee (SPAC)
Looking to be a part of San Juan's decision-making process and to represent the Arcade community? Arcade needs a parent or family representative on Superintendent Bassanelli's Parent Advisory Committee (SPAC), which is dedicated to improving student learning.
The purpose of SPAC is to give parents an avenue for two-way communication with central office staff, as well as an opportunity to meet and discuss district-wide issues with the superintendent. It also gives the district an opportunity to provide parents with information and allows them to offer their input. Most important, SPAC is committed to excellence in education and is interested in and supportive of all students in the San Juan Unified School District.
The only requirement to join the Superintendent's Parent Advisory Committee is that you have a student currently enrolled at Arcade.

POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONS AND SUPPORTS (PBIS)
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
Arcade follows the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, which creates an environment that allows all students to thrive. As part of that framework, teachers acknowledge students who are exhibiting Spartan Strong behaviors, being kind, safe, and responsible, by giving them a Spartan Strong ticket.
A raffle is held every week using these tickets, and Spartan Strong winners are announced on Fridays. The lucky winners then pick out a prize in the office.
