Let’s Boogie! Our big fall fundraiser HAS BEGUN! Running these last couple of weeks of September, this fundraiser will culminate in a dance-a-thon on September 29th! Keep an eye out for more information AND opportunities to win prizes daily/weekly (EVEN a chance to win a trip to Disney!!!), throughout our “Peace, Love, Hayes, DiscoThon”. Our, "Peace Love Hayes Disco-thon", kicked off yesterday! This year, our school is raising funds for school enhancements. Our goal is to raise $20,000, and, if you would like to, we are inviting YOU to help!

Our annual Mother-Son Event is coming up on Monday, October 2nd, from 5:30-7:30pm at Times Square. You won’t want to miss out on bowling, games, pizza and more! This event is sponsored by the Hayes PTA and is intended as a special night for moms, mother-figures, etc and their sons.

Tickets are on sale NOW via our PTA website! Visit jhepta.membershiptoolkit.com and click ‘Event Tickets and Donations’. Tickets are $20 per person.

Last year your Hayes PTA hosted our first ever, Trunk or Treat! It was an absolute blast and simultaneously brought awareness to food allergies! As a community event, we invite not only Hayes participants but also, community businesses and groups to host a trunk, or donate goods. On Friday, October 20th from 6-8pm, come on out to trick or treat at trunks, in the Hayes parking lot. We will be sending out signups for hosting trunks and community sponsorships! Start planning your trunk themes now!

Now, through the end of October, we’re excited to ask our students to show their school spirit by inviting them to join the PTA! With purchase of an $8 student membership, your student will receive a Peace, Love, Hayes decal as well as an opportunity to appear on the morning announcements, as a raffle winner for free Hayes spirit wear! Have you donated to your student’s class party funds? Each year, your PTA sponsors two class parties. These parties are entirely funded by your PTA and we ask that you please help us in our efforts by donating $10 per student. Parties are held in November and February. The children enjoy snacks, crafts and games and your $10 donation goes directly to supplant these items. Join PTA>Forms, on our website, www.jhepta.membershiptoolkit.com.

If you love the staff and teachers at Hayes, we've got the perfect committee for you! Email jhehospitality@gmail.com to receive first notices about our monthly hospitality events to donate items, your time or both.

We are looking for Homeroom Parents for each classroom. This role presents a wonderful opportunity to help directly in your child’s homeroom. You will assist in the organization of the two class parties, as well as help in assembling our grade level auction items for the Spring Semester Silent Auction. We would like to have at least one parent helper per classroom. If you’re interested, please reach out to jhehomeroomcood@gmail.com to volunteer.
