Start and End Times
The arrival and dismissal information is very important. Doors will open at 7:35 am and breakfast will be served from 7:35-7:55 am each day! Instruction will begin at 7:55 am and end at 2:35 pm. Dismissal will begin at 2:40 pm. The bus loop in the front of the school will be closed prior to bus drop off and pick up. Following the arrival and dismissal process is critical as we work to ensure everyone has a safe start and end to their school day!
In order to maintain safety on our grounds and keep our drop off and pick up lines moving, please adhere to the following drop off and pick up expectations:
~Remain in your car
~Pull to the spot you are directed to
~Have your visor sign clear and visible
~Please do not bring pets to "walk up/tree pick up"
Please be sure to sign your child in if he/she is arriving after 7:55 am. This is done in the lobby and your student will be marked tardy if he/she arrives after 7:55 am. Please know that instruction begins at 7:55 am, so a child arriving at 8:05 am who goes to breakfast has missed almost 30 minutes of instruction. If this happens twice a week, that is potentially an hour of missed class time which is very impactful!
Please Remember
Please remember to only send your child with clear water in his/her water bottle, no juices, flavored waters, or milk please!
Also, please keep any glass containers at home. Things can easily get dropped or bumped at school and glass is not safe.
End Of Day Plans
If there is a need to change your child's End Of Day plan please notify the office by 1:30 pm. The office organizes and plans for these EOD changes, not the classroom teacher.
Information About The Office
The office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. When you call or need to come in, you will speak with Mrs. McDonald and Ms. Bake. They don't schedule appointments for teachers or the principal, so if there is a question either of them cannot answer, they will suggest you reach out to your child's teacher first. Leaving a voicemail or sending an email will most often provide you what you are looking for!
The office will ONLY release children to those listed on the emergency form. If you need to add or omit someone from your child's form, it needs to be done in person PRIOR to that person picking up your child. We can no longer take phone requests to do so.
Updating your child's contact information is vital! If you have an address change, change to a phone number, or other information please update it immediately in the office.
Medication
ALL students taking medication during the school day must complete the appropriate form(s). There have been some changes by the state of Michigan in regards to prescription medication at school. Now ALL prescription medication must have a doctor's signature. Our prescription medication forms have been updated across the district. Here are links to our updated prescription medication form and our over the counter medication form to help you get a head start.
