We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who attended and participated in our first-ever PCK Dodgeball Tournament. This event was a wonderful opportunity to bring together students and families across multiple grade levels. We are so grateful to have had so many of you join us as spectators and cheer on the teams.
A special congratulations to the Goats, who took home first place with their victory over the runner-up Big Boy League. It was an exciting and memorable competition, and we couldn't be more proud of the sportsmanship and enthusiasm displayed by everyone involved.
We would also like to take a moment to thank our dedicated staff members who went above and beyond to ensure the tournament ran smoothly. A special shoutout to Mr. McClanahan, Mr. Priddy, and Mr. Estes for lending their time and support in making this event a success. Their hard work and commitment were instrumental in creating such a positive experience for all.
As always, our community is at the heart of what makes PCK such an excellent place for learning. We look forward to more events like this that strengthen the connection and camaraderie among us all.
We are excited to announce that our National Junior Honors Society (NJHS) students are reintroducing Homework Help. This is a wonderful opportunity for your student to receive one-on-one assistance from a member of NJHS. Whether your child is looking for extra support or just needs help with daily homework, our NJHS students are ready to lend a hand.
Homework Help will be held in Mr. Robbins' classroom (Room 203) on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:10–3:45 p.m. Each session will cost $10, with all proceeds going toward NJHS dues and funding important initiatives for the honor society.
Questions about placement or registration should be directed to Mr. Robbins via email at drobbins@ckcs.net. He will provide more information and match your student with one of our highly qualified NJHS members. If you would like to proceed with registration, you can do so below.
Yesterday our fifth grade students had the wonderful opportunity to bring history to life with our Renaissance Towne event. Through engaging presentations students explored and showcased key aspects of the Renaissance period—highlighting its impact on art, science, literature, and culture. This immersive experience not only deepened their understanding of this fascinating era but also encouraged creativity and public speaking skills.
We want to extend a special thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped make this event such a success. Your time, support, and enthusiasm ensured everything ran smoothly, and we are incredibly grateful for your involvement. Events like these wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our school community.
Get ready to dress down in style with Favorite Decade Day on Friday, January 31. Both students and staff are invited to come dressed in outfits inspired by their favorite decade. Whether you love the groovy 70s, the neon 80s, the grunge 90s, or the tech-forward 2000s, this is your chance to show off your retro flair.
Not sure what to wear? Think:
- 70s: Bell-bottoms, tie-dye, and peace signs
- 80s: Bright colors, leg warmers, and big hair
- 90s: Flannel, scrunchies, and overalls
- 2000s: Trucker hats, denim-on-denim, and tracksuits
Please be sure to follow PCK Dress Code on Dress Down days. Choice dress days at PCK are a privilege and must be treated as such. Cleanliness, modesty, and neatness of appearance are important at all times.
We would like to remind our families once again that students may no longer be pulled out of class to attend school performances or events for their siblings that occur during the school day. This policy is being enforced to protect the integrity of our learning environment and ensure that every student has the opportunity to fully benefit from their instructional time.
While we understand that school performances are significant and exciting occasions for students and families alike, it is essential that we minimize disruptions to the academic experience for all students. Our goal is to maintain a focused, productive classroom environment, where every student can thrive without interruption.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize uninterrupted learning for all students.

We would like to take a moment to remind everyone of an important guideline in our dress code regarding skirt length. As outlined in our policy, skirts must be fingertip length or longer.
Recently, we’ve received several inquiries on this topic, and we wanted to take the opportunity to refresh everyone’s memory and avoid any future confusion. Additionally, please remember that bloomers or modesty shorts must be worn beneath skirts at all times.
We appreciate your support in upholding the principles of our dress code, and we are confident that together, we can ensure a respectful and consistent approach to our dress standards.
It's time to submit an eighth-grade student's yearbook portrait. The yearbook team is now accepting portraits for the 2024-25 yearbook. Please submit your student's portrait via Treering.com under PCK's eighth-grade folder. If you haven't used Treering before, you'll need to create an account. Use PCK's school code: 1015343699083637.
Portrait Guidelines
- Pose: Waist-up only. Head-and-shoulder or full-body poses will not be accepted.
- Framing: Centered, facing the camera, with both eyes visible.
- Dress Code: Adhere to school dress code guidelines. Avoid revealing clothing or spaghetti straps.
- Props: No props allowed (animals, costumes, hats, sunglasses, etc.).
- Background: Simple and uncluttered (avoid solid colors). Natural outdoor settings work well.
- Photo Type: Color photos only. No black and white, vignette, or sepia.

Due to the exceptionally cold temperatures recently, we understand that many families have been unable to schedule or complete their eighth grade portraits. To accommodate these challenges, we are extending the deadline for portrait submissions.
Please note that our new deadline for portrait submissions is Friday, February 21.
The Foundation continues to seek responses for an important survey about the upcoming PCK Gala, which will raise funds to enhance resources for our students and community. Your support is essential to its success.

This week, we are excited to shine our volunteer spotlight on Hailey Rudd for her incredible contributions to our school library. The library is an essential part of the learning experience for our younger students, providing them with the resources and space they need to grow and explore.
Hailey has been a tremendous help over the years, offering her time and support to ensure the library runs smoothly. Her dedication has made a lasting impact, and we are truly grateful for her ongoing commitment to our school community.
Thank you, Hailey, for all that you do. We are fortunate to have you as a part of our PCK family.
