March 21st
A Note From the Principal,
For those of you who don't know, I’ll be going on maternity leave after spring break and will be spending some time with my family as we are welcoming a new baby boy any day now! I plan to return to school toward the end of the school year sporadically. During my time away, our principal team made up of Chris Reeve, Ashley Shimek, and Jamie Hawkins will be stepping in to take over, and I’m confident that they will do an amazing job supporting everyone at school!
While I’m on leave, I’ll still be available by email or text, but please know my response might take up to 48 hours. If something urgent comes up, please reach out to Jen Smith in the Elementary Office or Chris Reeve first and they can direct you to who can help you best.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support! I’m looking forward to getting back to school and seeing everyone again soon!

THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING MARCH!
We had an amazing March is Reading Month! From Breakfast, Books, and Buddies, an amazing author visit from Steve Boughton, a trip to the Bay Theater, PI Day visitors from high school math students, field trips to the GTB Sugar Bush, a NORSE Assembly, and so much more! Thank you to everyone who helped make this month such a fantastic experience for our elementary students!
Morning Drop Off Reminder
Please remember that students must be with their adult until 7:55am at morning drop off! Supervision does not begin until this time and students may not wait outside unaccompanied.
NORSE Care
We are offering care from 3:25-5:30 Monday-Thursday. Please visit tinyurl.com/NORSEcareSB to request after-school care. All families must register every school year.
Safety Reminder
Our staff takes great pride in our safe campus, and our students-only entry doors are an important part of that safety.
Please help us by always entering through the office if you are coming to campus, and share that routine with any other adults who are coming to campus!
If any Suttons Bay staff sees you in the hall without a yellow office sticker, we will give a friendly "Hi, can I see your check-in sticker?" Thanks for your help in making sure our staff and students are safe and comfortable knowing who is in the building.
Norse Clinic News
All lunches include fruit/veggie and milk and are free for all students!
Students who do not want the hot lunch entree or the alternate PB&J lunch should bring a lunch from home.
