What's Happening in June?
Dr. Isett's Weekly Message
Final Week of the 2024-2025 School Year!
Dear Colts Families,
As we enter the final week of the school year, I want to take a moment to share what an absolute honor it has been to serve as principal of River Heights Intermediate this year. I 💚 our school community and every day I feel so privileged to work here. Together, we have accomplished so much as a school community—from being named a Schools to Watch model middle school to earning recognition for our outstanding Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). These honors are a testament to the hard work, heart, and dedication of our incredible staff and students.
At River Heights, we believe in nurturing the whole child—not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. I am incredibly proud to lead a school filled with passionate educators and staff who prioritize students' growth in every sense.
To our families: thank you for your unwavering support and partnership. Your encouragement, communication, and commitment helped ensure your Colts remained academically engaged all year long. While middle school may only span two years, they are some of the most moldable and impactful years in a student’s journey—and we are grateful to be part of that experience.
As we wrap up, we continue celebrating our students and all they’ve achieved:
-
Last week, we honored our 8th graders who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and hosted a memorable 8th Grade Dance.
-
Monday, June 2: We will host our first-ever Grad Walk, welcoming graduating high school seniors who once attended River Heights. Once a Colt, always a Colt!
-
Wednesday, June 4: 8th graders will enjoy “Outsiders Day”, a fun-filled themed celebration.
-
Thursday, June 5: 8th graders will participate in a schoolwide fun day and promotion rehearsal.
-
Friday, June 6:
-
7th graders will have their fun day and be released early at 11:40 AM.
-
Promoting 8th grade students should report to their assigned area at Eleanor Roosevelt High School at 12:15 PM. The promotion ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 PM, so please be on time.
-
Thank you again for an incredible year. I look forward to an amazing final week filled with celebration, reflection, and Colt pride!
Kind Regards,
Eva Isett, Ed. D.
Principal
