Girls Swimming placed 2nd as a team in the Cape Atlantic League Swimming Championship swim meet. The 200-medley relay team of Katie Carlos, Denise Yushan, Kayla Nguyen, and Rhylee Cornell placed 1st, breaking the previous meet record. Katie Carlos was the individual champion in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke and was runner up to most valuable swimmer of the meet. Kayla Nguyen was the individual champion in the 100 Butterfly.

Boy Swimming placed first as a team in the Cape Atlantic League Swimming Championship swim meet. Charles Schreiner was the individual champion in the 200 freestyle and Leo Smilevski was the individual champion in the 100 Freestyle. The relay team of Charles Schreiner, Dylan DeWitt, Michael Wojciechowicz, and Leo Smilevski were champions in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

EHT celebrated their senior night with a 51-35 win against ACIT. Amelia Zinckgraf who has been injured all year was able to get her first two points of the season thanks to ACIT agreeing to allow her to score 2 points at the start of the game. This was a much deserved opportunity. EHT went on to take command from there. Lyla Brown scored a career high 20 points including 5 three pointers in the first half (she finished with 6 three pointers).

EHT lost a hard fought game to AC 43-41. EHT was led by Averie Harding and Lyla Brown who scored 12 and 11 points respectively.

EHT won a tough division game against Holy Spirit 49-41. EHT was led by Kara Wilson and Ava Kraybill who scored 16 and 15 points respectively.

The EHT boys basketball team earned the #3 seed in the CAL tournament which begins next week and will have a home game on 2/9. The Eagles finish the regular season this weekend with 2 tough games against Camden Eastside (Sat) and Gloucester Catholic (Sun).

This past weekend the boys Winter Track team competed at an invitational meet in Toms River. There were over 30 teams in attendance. Medal winners were Ryan Taylor in the 3200 with a first place finish, Ahmad Fogg with first place finishes in the 55HH and the HJ, and a second place finish by Christopher Manzo in the 400.

The Alder Wrestling Team beat Ocean City Middle School 56 - 18. Pins were had by Jared Monroe, Alex Piskun, Markos Papasano, Jayden Grajales, DeJean Bolden, Eli Glover, Vaugh Burgen, Mike Rodas, Markos Concepcion and Grayson Orbach. Other winners were Cori Bird.

On Monday, the Alder Girls' Basketball team beat Somers Point 29 to 9, on Wednesday they lost a tough game against Margate 26 to 23 and yesterday the girls defeated St. Joe's 29 to 14.

Middle School Winter 1 Sports are in full swing.
