ECHS Weekly update
November 15, 2024
Message from your school counselor - Lakisha Bostick
Happy Friday! Parents please note that today you can check your student's 2nd quarter progress report for high school classes in PowerSchool. We are at the half way point of this quarter. Students, please make sure that you are completing all assignments so that you can have a strong finish to the semester.
Registration for the December Driver's Ed class will open on tomorrow at 9am. The link to register for both the morning and evening sessions are located in this newsletter. Please note that if you wait too late to register, you risk all slots being filled. So set your alarm and try to register at 9am sharp. Good luck to all who want to make this December class.
Seniors, please make sure to order your cap and gown. We still have quite a few of you that need to order. Thank you to those who attended the virtual FASA night meeting this week. Please note that our college advisor, Ms. Jang will be available all next week by appointment to help with creating your FASA ID. The presentation from the meeting can found in this newsletter and was emailed to students by Ms. Jang. Also, make sure you forward or screenshot all acceptances and scholarship awards to me through email or remind. Here are the acceptances that I have so far. Congratulations to all of you and I am looking forward to many more submissions.
I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend!

Please consider getting involved with community organization Rhizome
Rhizome is a community-based fellowship that puts students into leadership roles. Our purpose is to improve our communities, spread big ideas, and increase our civic participation. Rhizome is led by community organizers, responsible for leading fellowship chapters, and adult mentors who provide support to the community organizers. Fellows reflect on who we want to be, develop real-world leadership skills, gain professional experience, practice inclusive teamwork, and engage in civic life for 3 hours per week.
