Senior Events Newsletter 2024-2025

Dear Seniors,

Your high school years will be something you share with future generations, that you persevered and grew through the twists and turns of the last four years. I am proud of the way you have navigated the change and developed skills that will carry you through the challenges and the successes ahead.

In the last few months of your time here with us and together, enjoy the moments and celebrate the hard work that will take you into the next step in your life. Now, bring the scholarship, skills, honor and service into the world!

Are you a senior who will be attending a two or four-year college or university in the Fall of 2025 pursuing an environmental studies-related academic major? If so, you are eligible to apply for the Conejo Open Space Foundation scholarship. Click on the link below for more details.

Jostens ordering information was provided during ACE on Thursday, October 31.

Additionally, Jostens' representatives will be on campus during lunch this Wednesday, November 6th. Look for them outside of the main office if you'd like more information or have any questions.

Come celebrate with your fellow Senior Troubadours! Thursday, November 21st from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the MUR. Dinner will be catered by Olive Garden.

Tickets can be purchased at the ASB office for $15 per person - CASH ONLY. Last day to buy tickets is Tuesday, November 19th.

If you plan to miss school to visit a college campus, please follow the instructions and complete the attached form below. Your absences MUST be excused ahead of time. If you have any questions, visit the CCC or Mrs. Tipton in the Attendance Office.

Following the success of the Performing Arts Senior Tribute banners last year, we are thrilled to offer the opportunity this year to ALL SSHS Senior families to celebrate your graduating senior student. We are making 18" x 24" full-color Senior Tribute Banners for the kids, which will be displayed on the quad above the Main Office and Library through to the end of the school year (one week before graduation). Then the banner will be available for you to pickup on graduation night to take home and display.

All Senior Banners purchased before the start of Winter Break (12/20/2024) will be at a discounted rate of $50. This price will increase after winter break to $100.

Printing will be on-going throughout this term. Once you have purchased your banner HERE, you will receive an email with instructions from our printer to provide them with your student's 8” x 8” image (minimum of 2400 pixels by 2400 pixels). You can write a personal message up to 8 lines and 120 characters.

Choose from the three distinct schools of Santa Susana High School:

Senior Prom will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Moorpark Country Club from 6:30-10:00 p.m. TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW! Tickets will be $135 from 11/4/24 until 12/20/24. Prices will increase to $140 from 1/6/25 until 3/7/25 and will increase again to $145 from 3/10/25 until 3/17/25.

You must pick up a Prom Contract from the ASB office and submit it completed at time of payment. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. There are no ticket refunds, except in the case of event cancellation. Tickets will be sold at the ASB office and may only be purchased by cash or check. Last day to purchase tickets is March 17, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.

Tickets for Grad Nite at the Disneyland resort will be $240. Tickets will be on sale STARTING TOMORROW, NOVEMBER 5TH. Students will leave SSHS at 9AM on May 21st and return at approximately 3AM on May 22nd. Ticket price includes a full-day parkhopper ticket, along with the Disney California Adventure grad party experience. You must have a completed permission form in order to purchase your ticket. Permission forms are available in the ASB store.
