Career Day - April 25th
Did you know that one of the state standards is to introduce students to careers? It might sound crazy, but students love to learn about different community helpers and careers! Christina Kottenstette, ELC School Counselor, has created this great, hands-on, educational day for both preschool and kindergarten students. “Touch-a-Truck” day will take place on Friday, April 25th! Teachers will communicate if parent volunteers are needed for this event.
May Events
Preschool Adventure Day
FRIDAY, MAY 9TH
Preschool students will be participating in Adventure Day on May 9th! During this time, students will be taking part in the preschool science standard of exploring and investigating objects and events in the environment. Students will have the opportunity to engage in the outdoors and interact with nature all around them! Preschool students will participate in activities such as nature hikes, reading by the pond, making bird feeders, and many more fun outdoor activities. We ask that on this day students dress for the weather, wear sunscreen, and pack water bottles. We cannot wait for all the fun adventure day will bring! Teachers will communicate their specific times and if parent volunteers are needed for this event.
Kindergarten Bubble Day
FRIDAY, MAY 16TH
Kindergarten Bubble Day is a chance for our students to engage in hands-on exploration of bubbles in a variety of ways. Students act as scientists as they explore, investigate, observe, make and check predictions, and experiment with different applications of bubble solution and various tools. Bubbles are a wondrous and fun activity for this age of children. We build on that natural curiosity on Bubble Day to expand children's knowledge of how bubbles are made, how they work, and what makes them work better or work not as well. Students can experiment with tools to create and measure huge bubbles, small bubbles, and everything in between. They can predict if different shapes can be made or not, then explore that prediction. The weather and its effect on the bubbles also is an observation that is made during this fun day as well! Our young scientists have fun learning and enjoying some hands-on fun and exploration each Bubble Day! Teachers will provide details about the bubble day activities and participation times. PTO members will volunteer to assist with this event.

The Primary School staff will host tours on Monday, May 19th from 5pm-7pm.
In an effort to balance the groups, times will be offered based on the last name of the child.
