The Wildcat Way

Hello to all of our returning and new Wildcat students! Welcome to the 2024-2025 School year. I hope that you all have had a fun, relaxing and memorable summer and I'm sure that all of our students are ready to come back to class.😎

Schedules for all students are now live in Skyward. If you received a schedule at either 6th grade orientation or at our back to school bash, please review the Skyward schedule prior to the first day of class. There are times where we have to change schedules and the Skyward schedule is always the most up to date version.

The start of the school year is Wednesday, August 21st. It's always a bit hectic to begin the year. Here are a few tips to get your school year off to a fantastic start:

• Create a daily routine
• Have a routine for before school and after school. This will help you get ready for school every day and get your work done after school. Sometimes, getting prepared for the next day is a valuable part of an after school routine!
• Eat healthy foods
• You don't want to survive on hot Cheetos and Takis. Eat nutritional foods, fruits and vegetables every day. These foods help you focus mentally and they give you good energy to make it through the day
• Ask for help
• Ask for help from your friends, your family, your teachers, and anyone else you think could help you. No student should feel alone. If you need help, please ask!
• Prioritize your sleep
• Put down your social media, your video game controller, and your TV remote and get some rest! Getting good rest is an important part of being a good student, a good sibling, and a good friend. Make sure you get rest each night

On August 21st, students should be here no later than 8:25 AM and we will dismiss at 3:05 PM. Students will be welcomed into the building daily no earlier than 7:50 AM. All student entrances are located on Gunderson Ave

• 6th grade will enter through West Gym foyer (Door 8)

• 7th grade will enter through Gunderson Ave (Door 15)

• 8th grade will enter through Commons (Door 12)

Monday, August 26th - September 6th- NWEA MAP Testing

Monday, September 2nd- Labor Day (NO SCHOOL)

Wednesday, September 4th-Fall Family Fun Night 4:30-6:00pm (More information to come)
