We made it! This is the last instructional week for the Quarter 2 and the Fall semester. Standard mastery checks for this week have been canceled by the district. We will recapture this time for iReady makeups and ACP preparation. We are all focused on having a strong semester finale. The testing season in combination with the holiday season can be overwhelming for some people. It is imperative that we prioritize supporting the emotional and social well being of ourselves ,students and entire community. The most important gift we can give to everyone is our time. There is an old saying that states " You can't give what you don't have". So let us all be vigilant about filling up and having ourselves filled with love and peace during this time. This holiday season, I hope that you find more creative ways to spend more time with the people that you love.

WFAA Santa's Helpers

For the second year in a row, we will participate in the WFAA Santa's Helpers Toy Drive.

Last year Dealey won out of all of the schools in North Texas for the most donations with over 250 toys. We need your help! Please bring a new and unused toy for North Texas children in need.

Mrs. C. Smith our dyslexia teacher will continue to lead this amazing campus service project.

All donations are due Monday, December 16, 2024.

Debate News

Debate had a wonderful showing at our first tournament of the year. In the first tournament ever for our 6th graders, the team of Varun Daswani, Eve Saller and Archer Raney placed 9th overall in the Beginner World Schools Division. Individually as speakers, in the same division, Jack Ghobrial placed 14th, Calder McClendon placed 13th and Kshitij Narsini placed 12th. In the Advanced Policy division, Regina Hernandez, placed 2nd overall and received the 15th place speaker award. Ms. Smith and Mr. Davidson are incredibly proud of their efforts and look forward to seeing them compete in the Winter City Championship this December!

Why is this important to our campus?

Our $5 days are 100% used to provide students and staff with a culture & climate of excellence. Student/staff celebrations and school swag are all provided free of charge due to our fundraising.

Thanks to our generous community, all ornaments have been claimed from the Dealey Giving Tree for the 2024 holiday season!

As a friendly reminder, if you have adopted a family, Dec. 13 is the last day to drop off gift cards either in the front office or with a carpool dad.

If you have picked up an ornament, please be sure to text the family "letter" plus your last name to 817-808-3606. This helps ensure all families awaiting support are accounted for - we currently have five families whose ornaments were claimed, but we do not know who claimed them.

In lieu of adopting a family, we also welcome gift card donations from Walmart, Target, or Amazon to contribute to this cause. Thank you!

Students must obtain prior approval before using personal telecommunications or other personal electronic devices for instructional use. When students are not using the devices for approved instructional purposes, all devices must be turned off during the instructional day. Violations of the user agreement may result in withdrawal of privileges and other disciplinary action.
