Let us be the first to wish you and your family a great holiday season. May it be filled with love, laughter, and joy with your family and friends. May the coming year bring new opportunities, personal growth, and much success to each and everyone of you.


The holiday season is a time to celebrate our success, but also reflect on our individual journeys. It is a time when we can pause, connect with loved ones, and find joy in the company of those who matter most to us. Please cherish these moments, and take time to make lasting memories with the ones you love.

Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland Pajama Gift Day

We were fortunate to have the Encore Resorts Foundation host a Winter Wonderland Pajama Gift Day at the Madeline English School on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Representatives from Encore Boston Harbor transformed the library into a festive space, replete with trees and decorations. One by one, every class in the school visited the Winter Wonderland and every student chose a new set of pajamas. Thanks to Encore for their generosity and to Mayor Carlo DeMaria for stopping by to help us celebrate.

Gingerbread Houses

Ms. DiCecca's Grade 2 class made their own Gingerbread Houses to help celebrate Gingerbread Day at the Madeline English School!

A Very Maddy Holiday

Madeline English School Grades 1 and 4, The Everett Junior Tide Band, Grades 6-8 Strings, and the English School "Deci-Belles" Chorus put on a Holiday performance for their family and friends

🤖 Robotics

Congratulations to the Madeline English Robotics team on another successful season which culminated in the final elimination round of the FLL Qualifier in Revere, MA on Saturday Dec 7th. The students and coaches worked very hard on the 4 parts of the competition: core values, robot design, robot missions, and engineering project. A special shout out to the Madeline English coaches, Mr. Jaffe and Ms. Cavalieri, who were nominated by their students and won an award for their amazing coaching.

😎 Great Moments from the Classroom

Express Yourself

Our 4th grade students created an anafora poem related to themselves as they explore poetry in their English Language Arts class.

Knowledge brought to life

3rd Graders were able to apply their knowledge of animal classification from our CKLA curriculum in a visit from Curious Creatures.

STEM on Defense

5th graders created structures using the laws of physics to defend against a "snow ball" attack.

  • 11 AM EARLY DISMISSAL FOR ALL STUDENTS ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2024 for the Winter holiday break. Classes will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
  • Attendance: Please schedule non-urgent medical appointments and family trips outside of school hours.
  • Winter Dress Reminder: Please remember gloves, hat and coat so students can enjoy recess.
