SNOW IN ACADIA PARISH
Well, it looks like winter decided to make a surprise appearance in Acadia Parish! Due to an unprecedented snowfall, we're hitting the pause button today for all Acadia Parish schools. ❄️⛄️
While snow might not be something we see often around here, today is a reminder that sometimes Mother Nature likes to keep us on our toes! Whether you're building a snowman, having a snowball fight, or simply enjoying a cozy day at home, I hope you make the most of this rare winter wonderland.
I know I'm snuggled under some blankets, peering out the window with a warm cup of hot chocolate and creating some memories. Certainly never thought I'd be closing schools because of snow. But what an awesome experience for our kids to have!!
Safety is always our top priority, so please stay warm, stay safe, and have fun in the snow if you're able to! We’ll be keeping an eye on the weather and will continue to keep you updated as needed.
Take advantage of this unexpected break, and let’s make the most of this snow day—who knows when we’ll see snow like this again?
P.S. If you do build a snowman, snow angel or just playing in the snow, feel free to share a picture with us on social media or email them in to us at info@acadia.k12.la.us—let’s see those creative winter masterpieces!
