Congratulations to Denise Gonez-Santos!
On Wednesday, September 28, she received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Niagara University. She was honored during the Vincentian Heritage Convocation which recognized members of the community who model the legacy of Saint Vincent de Paul. Saint Vincent de Paul is best known for his work among the poor and marginalized.
Denise enjoys a distinguished career in education that has spanned thirty-eight years. Starting as a fourth-grade, bilingual education teacher and retiring as the supervisor of the RBERN West team, she has devoted her life’s work to serving English Language Learners and their teachers. Though she recently celebrated her retirement in June, she continues to work with RBERN in a part-time capacity.
We are proud to have Denise on our team! ELL students in WNY have access to better, more equitable education thanks to her contributions and passion. Congratulations Denise!
