Dear Bear Creek Families,

The Cultural Kaleidoscope is Friday, May 17th. We are all so excited about this event. My hope is that you are able to find a moment to come to Bear Creek that evening to mingle with our families and learn a little more about our rich world heritage.

Thank you for the love and appreciation you have shown teachers and staff this past week. It has made the week brighter to receive the words of affirmation and the tokens of your appreciation. Your partnership with us this year has lead to a successful 2023-2024.

Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is open. Austin ISD will begin to make staffing adjustments based on enrollment projections. Also, Bear Creek is experiencing an increased number of transfer requests. We want to assure that all zoned families are accounted for prior to opening the opportunities to other area families. If you need enrollment help, please contact Robin or Melissa for support.

We always seek to place all learners in their best classroom environment. Teachers, Specialized Support Staff, and Administration work together to create student groupings in May. Please use this FORM to share with us your insight about your child(ren). The form will turn off on May 12th. Grade level teams will begin to create the 2024-2025 class groupings the last few weeks in May.

CAC Meeting

The CAC meeting schedule for May 6th was postponed due to the inability to meet quorum requirements. A new date will be announced soon.

At the next CAC meeting, Ms. Engel will review our campus Panorama data and discuss 2024-2025 Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) goals.

If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, you may observe the meeting via Zoom. Zoom participants will be able to provide comment during Citizen Communication. If you speak during Citizen Communication, please use this FORM.

Join us on May 17th right before the Cultural Kaleidoscope event at 5:15pm for the last PTA General Membership Meeting of the year. We will be voting on bylaw amendments and the Board for the 2024-24 school year, so we need our members there!

TCBY is hosting a Spirit Night to benefit Bear Creek. Stop by the 5701 Slaughter Lane location anytime between 4pm and Close on Thursday May 16th for a sweet treat. Bear Creek PTA will receive 20% of all sales!
