With colder temperatures arriving this week, please ensure your child is bundled up with warm jackets, hats, and gloves, especially when waiting for and riding the bus. We want to keep everyone safe and warm during recess and travel. Given the potential for significant temperature drops, please be mindful of the weather forecast and dress your child accordingly. In the event of a necessary transition to virtual learning, information regarding schedules, assignments, and online resources will be available below and on our school website.

Classroom guidance is introducing lessons that are part of the evidenced-based COPE Program (Creating Opportunities for Personal Empowerment). The COPE Program teaches children how their thoughts also affect how they feel and behave. They will be learning healthy ways to cope with negative events or thoughts that may occur in their lives. This program will be taught for the remainder of the semester.

Parents will be notified through the school messenger system by email and/or phone for 2hr delays or if there is a need for virtual instruction. It will also be posted on our website. Regular attendance is crucial for students’ academic success. When students miss school, they often miss important lessons, assignments, and opportunities for interaction with their classmates and teachers. This can lead to falling behind in their studies and feeling discouraged. It’s essential for students to attend school consistently to build a strong foundation for their education and future goals.
