October is Here!

The seasons keep turning and we are now into fall and the month of October!

Here are some items to remember for this month:

Fall Fundraiser continues until October 8th

Popcorn Friday, but on a Thursday! (3rd-5th grade) - October 3rd

5th Grade Field Trip to NC Zoo - October 4th

July/August/September Birthday Bash - October 10th

End of the 1st Nine Weeks - October 11th

Columbus Day Holiday No School - October 14th

Longwood Children's Book Festival - October 16th

1st Nine Weeks Report Cards Go Home - October 18th

Pre K and K Pumpkin Patch Field Trip - October 21st

Parent Teacher Conferences and Reading Literacy 4-6 pm - October 21st

Popcorn Friday (Prek-2nd) - October 25th

Phenix Fall Festival 5-7pm - October 25th

School Nurse Tidbits

Did you know the skin is the largest organ? Our skin acts as a superhero cape for our body. It protects us from germs and this is one of the many reasons you should wash your hands whenever they are soiled or dirty, after using the restroom, before you eat, or if you just feel you need to!
