The time has come! The last few days of summer have been spent, and it is back to routines full of making friends, learning and growing. We are ready to start another fantastic school year!

Meet the Teacher Night is Monday! We cannot wait to meet our new students and their families! Our partnerships with our families are invaluable. We look forward to getting to know you and learning how we can best support your child. Our mission everyday is to create an engaging and supportive environment that ensures learning for ALL!

• Meet the Teacher Night 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, August 14, 2024

• FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

• Tell us how your child goes home - 1st day, 1st week, all year

• Drop off supplies
• Provide the teacher your contact information and student health information
• Tour the building
• Speak to district departments such as Transportation and Food Services
• Sign up to be a substitute teacher
• Sign up for our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
• Buy a school shirt!!

In order for our systems to run smoothly and safely, please observe the following daily deadlines times.

7:35 a.m. The back doors automatically lock, and you will need to drive around and walk your child in to the building. PLEASE DO NOT DROP-OFF STUDENTS AFTER 7:35. They must be signed in by a parent or guardian.

1:30 p.m. ALL transportation changes must be made by 1:30 by emailing or calling Kendra Field or Monica Santos at (512)-746-2170 or kendra.field@jarrellisd.org or monica.santos@jarrellisd.org.

2:30 p.m. Any student checking out early for an appointment, must be picked up prior to 2:30. Our dismissal processes are already in place by that time making it very difficult to change.

At Jarrell Elementary, we are constantly assessing our systems to make improvements for safety, convenience, and time. Observing these cut-off times helps us ensure the smoothest possible processes! Thank you!

Your child's teacher will send a WELCOME message through ParentSquare Sunday evening around 6:00 p.m. We will also have a table set-up at Meet the Teacher Night with this information as well!

In an effort to increase customer service while ensuring student and staff safety at all times, JES has a new customer service window!

What can you do at the window?

• Drop off items for your student like lunches, birthday treats, etc.
• Sign your child in
• Check out your child
• Check in for a campus meeting
• Drop off doctor's notes

ALWAYS BRING YOUR ID TO CAMPUS!

You can send a check or cash to school to put money on your child's lunch account. You can also use the online APP and program School Cafe. The link is below as well as the directions.

BLEACHER CREATURE shirts are for 5th grade and younger. By purchasing a BC shirt, entry to ALL home games for ALL sports at the HS is FREE for the student wearing the shirt. The BC shirt also allows that student to run the tunnel at the home football games. This year, Bleacher Creatures will run the tunnel at the START of the game- NOT during half-time. The tunnel run is for our 5th graders and younger.
