TARDY/LATE ARRIVALS
As we come into the 3rd trimester, we can’t help but notice the amount of late arrivals we are seeing are growing by the day. For many children, it is important that they start their day on time with their class and keep a regular routine. Students who arrive late end up missing their morning meeting, which is an important time to bond with teachers and classmates. It is also an important part of the day to preview the schedule, get started on work and transition to a day of learning. Missing just 15 minutes of school twice a week equates to 2.5 missed school days per year! We love having your children here at school and we appreciate all of the effort it takes to get your child to school every day. If there is anything we can do to support your family, please reach out!

PTO Clipper Read-a-thon!
The schoolwide Clipper Readathon has officially begun! Thank you to everyone who has registered their child. At this point, 78% of our Bresnahan and Molin students are registered, and we would love to get to 100% participation. All classrooms are participating and if you have not had a chance to register your child yet, you still can! Classrooms will be working together to try and earn the coveted Readathon trophy Reading to your child and listening to audiobooks count too!
The Readathon funds will help pay for field trip transportation, enrichment programs, and new books for our school libraries, so your support is truly appreciated. One of the easiest ways to support the fundraiser is to share your child's Readathon page with family and friends. Sign up and get more information on our Readathon website.
Interested in helping with the Readathon? There are still several slots where we need volunteers so if you have time, please sign up to volunteer here!
Cozy Reading Day this Friday: Friday, March 22 is Cozy Reading Day! Students are invited to wear their pajamas or cozy clothes to school and bring a favorite book.
Library Campouts: This year all campouts will be held during the school day for all students! The Bresnahan library will be transformed into a cozy, book-filled campground. Students will sit around the campfire, sing songs, and then read in tents. We are looking for parent volunteers to help with decorating, donate/lend play tents and assist during the campouts.
Newburyport Reads: Speaking of fun events, on the weekend of March 23rd and 24th, everyone in Newburyport is encouraged to find a fun place in the city to read! Bring a book, find and settle in your "you" place and support our Bresnahan and Molin students in their reading endeavors. If you would like to send us a picture of you or your child reading (if you prefer, you can take a photo with a book concealing you or your child's face), please send it to newburyportpto@gmail.com or share it on our Facebook page. We'd love to make a slide show of all the fun places to read in Newburyport.
