HBMS Named National Beta School of Distinction
We are proud to announce that Holcomb Bridge MS is a 2022-2023 National Beta School of Distinction. The school earned this recognition by increasing their club’s membership by at least 10% from last year.
National Beta School of Distinction is an honor for Beta clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others. With an ongoing quest to instill these qualities in more students, the National Beta School of Distinction Award is designed to award those schools that show an increase in membership from the previous school year. This year, only 2,643 Beta Clubs across the country received this award.
Many thanks to Mrs. Susan Johnson, the club sponsor, for supporting our students in this endeavor.

Parents who need access to a computer are free to use our Parent Resource Room during school hours.

Student Cell Phones - New school day guidelines
One of the biggest distractions from learning that we deal with daily is students using cell phones during the school day. Please review the district guidelines below and talk to your child about the consequences of misusing a cell phone while at school. We will be strictly enforcing these expectations and may confiscate phones as necessary.
We strongly recommend that students leave cell phones at home. If it is necessary for your student to bring the phone to school, it is recommended to secure phones in a locker during the school day; if a student does not have a locker the phone should be kept in the backpack during the school day. The school is not responsible for the loss or damage of students' personal devices while at school.
*NEW*
Students may access and use their phones during their lunch period in the cafeteria as well as during their recess period. This is to allow time for students to communicate with family members during non-instructional time as needed. While at school, students may never use their phone to video, take photos, or post inappropriate content to social media sites. Students in violation of these expectations wil be disciplined per the Code of Conduct.
Residence Verification - ALL 6th and 7th grade students
Per FCS policy, parents/guardians of ALL rising 6th and 7th graders must provide two proofs of residency at the beginning of the school year.
Families who have not submitted the required documents by August 7 (first day of school) will be given a 30-day provisional enrollment waiver. Documentation must be submitted by September 6 or your student will be withdrawn from school. You may continue to send your documents to the front office if you have not already submitted.
Requirements for residency verification documents:
- Both proofs provided must be current within the past 30 days and have the name and address of the parent/guardian.
- Proof #1 must be either an electric bill or water bill.
- NOTE: Gas bills are not accepted.
- The Proof #2 can be any one of the following:
- Home Mortgage Bill;
- Home Sale Contract;
- Current Apartment/House Lease;
- Section Eight/HUD Housing Document; or
- Current HOA Bill
