The BHS Newsletter, 19th Edition: Monday, Jan. 13, 2025
A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
Students, Parents, Faculty, and Staff,
Happy New Year!!! We are excited to start this Spring semester at Boerne HS and see what the Spring of 2025 has in store. As I have stated many times before, we at Boerne HS are so grateful for our incredible students, supportive parents, and dedicated teachers and staff. The Fall semester flew by, and we don't expect the second half of the school year to be any different.
Parents, please speak to your students about starting out this semester strong. They must attend classes every day on time and complete all assigned work on time. I can't emphasize attendance enough. They have to be here and engaged, or they are doing themselves an injustice and jeopardizing their grades. As we navigate through this semester, please remember attendance is state-mandated and the law. Make sure your student attends school every day possible.
Here are a few reminders as we come off this three-week break and start getting back in the groove. We had a lot of students forget an ID on the first day back this morning. Please remind them that IDs are required to be worn and visible all day at school. Also, with it being the first day back, there were a lot of tardies to start off the day. Make sure you or your student are allotting enough time to get to school, not forgetting about morning traffic and bad weather. Finally, the dress code, as usual, is being enforced; please ensure your student is in compliance.
We hope you and your family stayed safe and healthy during the break and were able to take some time to get some rest. If this Spring semester is anything like this Fall semester, we all need to have a positive mindset and continue to be flexible as we navigate through it. Again, we at Boerne HS wish you a Happy New Year, and we look forward to a great semester!
"Everyone has a role in our students' education... the students, teachers and staff, the parents, and the community... Go Hounds!"

Boerne HS Campus Behavior Expectations...
Parents,
We ask that you review our "Campus Behavior Expectations" with your student. If your student wants to be successful at Boerne HS academically, socially, and emotionally, these three simple, easy expectations can be followed. As faculty and staff, we plan to model these behaviors to our students daily. We will be visiting with and reminding our students about these expectations consistently and ask that you do the same.
Be prompt and productive - be where you are supposed to be, when you are supposed to be there, and do what you are supposed to do.
Have respect for yourself and others - when you have respect, you make good, thoughtful choices considering everyone's feelings and beliefs.
See something, say something - be a voice for someone when they can't. If you see or know something is wrong, alert an adult you know ASAP. Don't overlook something you know is wrong.
