Pumpkin Investigation
First graders are using scientist skills to investigate pumpkins. We first predicted the height, circumference and weight of our pumpkin. Then we did actual measurements using cubes, string, rulers and a scale.
We then moved onto the inside of our pumpkin, predicting how many seeds we were going to find inside our pumpkins. We used adjectives to describe the inside of the pumpkin. We thought the inside was gooey, icky, slimy, sticky and slippery.
Please take a look at our videos and pictures to see how much fun first graders had investigating pumpkins.
