Jack Petchey Prize
The sun shone yesterday as we welcomed past student Nina McBurnett back to Chelmer to thank her for donating her Jack Petchey prize money to the school garden and wildlife area. We were able to purchase a beautiful flowering cherry tree, bird table and feeders which will provide a haven for birds and wildlife as well as to students and staff alike.
Student Drop In
From Tuesday 14th May Tracey Byrne, our student counsellor, will be holding a drop in for any student who would like a chat about anything that may be worrying them.
She will be in O12 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (from 8.15am until 8.30am) and again at lunchtime from around 12.30pm.
Year 10 Work Experience
It is almost time for our Year 10 students to go out on their work placements. Next week we will be sending out some quick tips and reminders about what to expect. Look out for that.
We still have a few students that need their parents' consent on Unifrog. Please check your emails and junk mail for correspondence from Unifrog. It takes less than a minute to complete.
If any parent or student has any further questions about Work Experience then please contact ashea@chelmer.essex.sch.uk
Pre-Loved Uniform Shop
We are looking for any good quality second hand uniform for our pre-loved uniform shop. If you have any items you are willing to donate, please send them into the main school office.

With the weather warming up, please ensure your child has a refillable water bottle. There are water fountains around the school in which students can refill their bottles during break, lunch and in between lessons. Students should not be leaving lessons to fill up their water bottles.
