Tuesday is our Open House from 5:00-7:00.

We are so excited to invite families into our building and walk their students' schedule. Teachers will be in their classrooms to greet you and spend a few minutes sharing their classrooms with you.

This will be a come and go event.

Our first progress reports will come out this week. Please check Parent Portal in Ascender to access your students' progress report.

If you find that your student is struggling with a class please reach out to the teacher and set up tutoring for your student. All teachers will have a tutoring day / time available to help your students. If you are having trouble accessing Parent Portal please email Mrs. Clegg at carla.clegg@jarrellisd.org.

JMS is hosting our VERY FIRST MEET THE COUGARS! We are so excited for this event.

On Thursday, at 6:00 p.m. we welcome families, friends, and community members as we introduce and celebrate our football teams, volleyball teams, cross country team, and cheerleaders. What better way to show your support of our middle school cougars. We hope to see you there!

It's hard to believe that we are already three weeks into the school year. I am so proud of the students and how hard they are working. Our teachers have been working hard to make sure they are having fun while learning and are receiving quality instruction.

Some things we've seen this week include:

• latitude and longitude battleship
• chemical change in science
• the power of persistence in athletics
