Field Trip Season!
We are definitely in field trip season as the school year winds down. Field trips and hands-on learning make concepts more memorable. Going on a field trip enhances their critical thinking skills and allows students to think about a topic or theme from a different perspective. A school trip gives students the chance to experience new venues.
Leaving the classroom for a field trip places the kids in a different social environment. During the average field trip, they encounter a new set of adults and possibly other children, which teaches them how to interact with others in different settings.
This past week, Grades 1-3 went on swimming and Grades 4-9 will go next Tuesday. Next week, the Grades 4/5 and 5/6 classes will go to Fort Edmonton Park, and the other classes will go on year-end trips the first week of June. The cultural and theatre performances they will attend will be great learning opportunities for the students.

Words to Make Your Child Feel Loved
Words are powerful. As caregivers, it’s important to carefully choose our words when showing our kids how much we value, love, and appreciate them. For healthy development and attachment, kids need to hear regular affirmations that express how much we adore them and that we love them just the way they are.
Expressing the vastness of our love can be challenging, but an idea could be:
“Nothing will ever change my love for you.”
