Mrs. Susan Lovato
Dear Millbridge Families,
In his 1926 classic, “Winnie the Pooh,” A. A. Milne wrote, “Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.” Our little pink friend was grateful for the abundance he had in his life; great friends, a warm place to sleep, and a few tasty “haycorns” to eat.
As we are nearing the end of 2024, and break for the winter holiday, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who help make Millbridge Elementary School an amazing place to be. We are a community with many gifts and talents, which we share daily with one another and most important, our students. From the classroom, to our living room and all points in-between, our collective efforts to raise the whole child are filled with passion, commitment and a willingness to make decisions that may be hard in the present, but will have a positive and lasting influence in the future for all. Parents, of course, are such a critical part of all we hope to accomplish on behalf of our youngest learners. I am grateful to you for masterfully doing what I know firsthand is the hardest, most rewarding and joyous job of all. Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious gift. I am grateful to our wonderful, talented, creative, inquisitive, optimistic, resourceful and resilient students. Often, they make us laugh, sometimes they make us cry, but always they make us think. Most of all, they make us better.
We celebrated our Responsible Cub of the Month for November and are looking forward to celebrating our Respectful Cub for December. Mrs. Lovato and I are also starting to recognize students throughout the building that are demonstrating our Bear Paws. Your child may come home with a letter of recogntion for helping us make Millbridge a wonderful, fun community.
Best,
Stacy Murphy

Millbridge Teacher of the Year - Mrs. Cusack
We are honored to recognize Mrs. Cusack, an educator whose dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment have left a lasting mark on our school community. With over 20 years of service, she has been a cornerstone of excellence, inspiring both students and colleagues with her passion for teaching. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom: she has mentored numerous teachers, piloted innovative curricula, served on multiple committees, and collaborated as a co-teacher in special education. Mrs. Cusack’s reliability, dependability, and willingness to go above and beyond have not only shaped our students’ futures but also strengthened our entire school community. This recognition is long overdue, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate her extraordinary contributions. Thank you, Mrs. Cusack, for being a role model, cheerleader, and pillar of support to us all. You truly exemplify the qualities of an outstanding educator.

enVision Mathematics
Nearly 100 parents attended the Parent Math Info Night in October. If you were unable to attend in person, a recorded, webinar-style version of the presentation is now available. It’s about 23 minutes, and it includes an overview of the program, explains the parts of a typical daily math lesson, and demonstrates how to access online resources to support your children’s math learning. The enVision Math page on the district website includes a link to view the recorded Parent Info Night webinar, as well as links to other helpful resources.
