It is hard to believe but we are entering in to our last week of school. The year has flown by and 2020 will be the most memorable year in my lifetime. It is a bittersweet year with the pandemic but one that has many refocusing their priorities and learning a new way of normal. As we open back up, please remember the virus is still with us and we need to continue to practice hand washing and social distancing. We want to stay healthy over the summer and we cannot wait for the 2020-2021 school year to start.

Just a reminder that Friday, May 22nd is our last official day of instruction. Please make sure all work will be turned in by Friday. If that is not possible, please reach out to your teachers and make them aware of your time frame.

Great News! We will be able to have a Mass for our Graduates on Wednesday, May 27th at 7PM. A limit of 50 invited people may be in attendance. Social Distancing and Masks are mandatory for all of those attending mass. Our Eighth Grade Students and their immediate families are invited to attend. Please RSVP Mrs. Marvin with your guest list.

Drive Through Drop Off is on Tuesday, May 26th. Please return your devices and workbooks. You are able to pick up your students items that were left here when we closed. Don't forget to bring a sign to congratulate our Eighth Grade students. We want to line the walkway to the church with signs for their Graduation Mass on Wednesday at 7PM. The Mass is limited to the graduates and their immediate families.

Please drop off your library books in the cooler or during our Drive By Drop Off.

Mrs. Gorman has announced that she is retiring at the end of this school year. She is moving onto a new challenge in her life: Retirement. As we wish her well in her new endeavor, she reminds us that she will continue to volunteer at St. Mary School tutoring students three days a week. Mrs. Gorman loves St. Mary's School and all of the students here but it is time for her to spend time enjoying her family. We wish her well and know that St. Mary School will forever be in her heart.

Hello! My name is Alli Bureau and I am so excited to be joining St. Mary's as the new Kindergarten teacher. I have been living in Wooster for the last three years with my husband, our almost 2 year old son and our two dogs. Since graduating college five years ago I have had a wide range of teaching experiences. I absolutely love teaching Kindergarten and can not wait to begin this new adventure.

Hi. My name in Janice Stupka. I live in Mansfield with my husband, Dave and our five children: Joyce, Grace, Philip, Joseph and Mary as well as our two dogs, Maxi and Lucky. I grew up in Cleveland and attended catholic schools from first grade through high school. I have been teaching for eleven years, all of them in catholic schools. My last teaching position was at Metro Catholic in Cleveland, where I taught third grade for three years before my family relocated. I am excited about becoming a part of the St. Mary’s family and look forward to meeting everyone!

Over the last 2 years we have been earmarking all of our fundraising events to upgrade the Activity Center/Gym. Through all of your hard work and generous donations from St. Mary families and parishioners we have been able to take this time to start the work needed to update the space. We are excited to see the new paint going up on the walls and ceiling. The stage curtains have been cleaned and the updated LED lighting will be installed shortly. We are continuing to accept donations to the project to replace the flooring in the gym. This is an uplifting project during this time and we cannot wait to have our first parish social here. Thank you for all of your help. The last time, we updated this space was when it was built in 1968.
