Cubs Celebrate American Indian & Alaska Native Heritage Month
In 1990, President George H.W. Bush declared the month of November American Indian & Alaska Native Heritage Month, commonly known as Native American Heritage Month. This month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories, and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native Americans. Heritage month is also opportunity to educate the public about tribes, and to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.

GET INFORMED: MEASURE A – WHY MULTIPLE TAX LINES? It’s your school district. Help us decide how Clovis Unified will look in the years to come. Learn the facts about Measure A and be an informed voter in the November election. FACT: The multiple lines listed for Clovis Unified on a property owner’s tax bill does NOT mean additional taxes. No matter how many lines listed, our current tax rate has been the same since 2012. Strange as it sounds, more lines actually mean more savings. Clovis Unified takes advantage of opportunities to refinance our debt at lower rates to create savings to taxpayers and maximize dollars. Fresno County requires a new line added to the tax statement each time we refinance, indicating the change.
