Dear LTMS Families,
We hope you’ve all been staying warm during this chilly week! Due to the weather, both the girls’ and boys’ track meets had to be canceled. Thankfully, temperatures are expected to rise next week!
Reminder: Wednesday, February 26th is an early release day at 12:50 PM.
Stay warm and have a great weekend!
Go Knights!

Random Acts of Kindness
At LTMS we recognized Random Acts of Kindness Week! It is a celebration of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life and make the world a brighter place. We believe that even small acts of kindness can have a ripple effect, creating a wave of positivity that touches countless lives.
Our students participated in writing positive words of kindness, kindness phrases, or acts of kindness that can make our world a better place on strips of paper. With these strips of paper, students will create a chain that will be displayed in our hallways to represent that we, at LTMS, will band together to be a kind school community.
Students also received a bracelet with kind, inspiration, and uplifting words to help them remember to be kind as they navigate their day.
As a student body we challenge you to join us in our Kindness Cause by participating in one of the challenges below.
Kindness Challenges:
* Challenge 1: Leave an encouraging note for a stranger. Stick a positive message on a public restroom mirror, a library book, or a shopping cart.
* Challenge 2: Offer a compliment to someone you don't know. Notice something positive about someone's outfit, their work ethic, or their personality, and let them know.
* Challenge 3: Perform a random act of service. Offer to help someone carry groceries, pay for the person behind you in line, or volunteer your time at a local charity or school event.
* Challenge 4: Remember the importance of Online Kindness. Being kind online fosters a sense of community, promotes empathy, and creates a welcoming space for everyone.
UIL Competition
LTMS is hosting a UIL event that includes students from LTMS and our surrounding districts. We need your help to make our UIL event a success. Volunteers are needed for various roles, including: Test Administration, Judging, Scoring, and General Assistance. No prior experience is necessary. We appreciate any time you can give! Sign up today and be a part of this exciting event!

Your Leadership and Counseling Team
While our campus leadership team works collaboratively with all students and teachers, the following information should help you reach the appropriate administrator or counselor for your child's grade level should a concern or question arise. We are committed to serving our students and appreciate the opportunity to work together with families to support our learners. Towards the start of the new school year, each counselor and Assistant Principal will be assigned new duties to individual grade levels, and we will share that information with families and students at that time. In the interim, please feel free to reach out to any member of our leadership team for assistance.
