We invite you to reach out with your questions, seek support, or just enjoy a warm cup of coffee and some muffins with us. While we may not have all the answers, we here to assist in any way we can. Parents we need you! Sign up for our Career Fair this January
We are excited to invite you to inspire our Suns by showcasing the incredible career opportunities available to them for exploration and potential pursuit in the future.
During the Career Fair students will participate in six rotations, where they will have the chance to learn about various careers. Each rotation will last 15 minutes, giving you the opportunity to share insights about your profession and the path you took to get there.
Encouraging students to think ahead and set goals is crucial. I love to demonstrate how the skills they are developing in school are relevant to their future careers. I always remind the students that while many things in life can diminish in value, one thing that will always retain its worth is knowledge.
The Career Fair is schedule:
3rd-5th Grade January 7th, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
k-2nd TBA.
STRESS-BUSTERS TIP OF THE MONTH
Difference between Stress and Pressure
It’s common to hear “stress” and “pressure” used interchangeably. But there’s a difference: pressure refers to external expectations to perform or deliver and stress refers to internal perceptions of unpreparedness or lack of resources.
For example, stress would be what you feel when you have three assignments due in 3 days and not enough hours in the day to complete them.
And pressure would be having a low grade in a class and knowing you need a specific high score on the upcoming final to pass the course.
STRESS-BUSTERS TIP
- Have a daily routine
- Go to bed at the same time, and create a bedtime routine
- Read 20 min a day; building students' confidence and enjoyment of reading will lower their academic stress.
- Eat a healthy breakfast in the mornings
- Exercise
- Attend School regularly; increased absences increase students' academic stress.
