SLIDE INTO SUMMER EDITION
Thank you for all your work this school year, and we hope your summer break or time off during the session is relaxing, fun and safe! We'll see you back for the coming school year. For 2024-25 and 2025-26 work calendars, visit the 4J website.
Meet Our New Leaders For the Coming Year
Several 4J schools and departments will have new leadership in 2024–25. Some administrators are moving to new positions in 4J, others are new to our district. Welcome to these education leaders!
Plan Ahead: Two-Year District Calendar
The school year is over, but now you can get a snapshot of important dates to keep in mind for the coming two school years. This spring, the school board adopted the academic calendar for the 2024–25 and 2025–26 school years. Moving to a two-year calendar will improve planning for families regarding days off and for staff regarding academic initiatives and professional learning.
Labor Negotiations to Continue with EEA
Negotiators with the district and Eugene Education Association are holding the next bargaining session on Tuesday, June 18, starting at 10 a.m., at the Ed Center, 200 N. Monroe St. Sessions will be live-streamed on Zoom at the following link.
Recordings of prior sessions, proposals, and the schedule of upcoming meetings are posted on this 4J webpage. The current contract is set to expire on June 30, 2024.
Moving On from Zoom: Meet Google Meet
Our district is transitioning to Google Meet as our default virtual meeting platform. Your Zoom account won't be deleted, but will be downgraded to a basic account, which limits meetings to 40 minutes and no more than 100 participants.
Here's some resources to get up to speed and make the most of the new platform:
