Volume 3 ~ Issue 10 ~ Week of October 6, 2024
π Message from the Principal π
I'm back and I'm bionic haha!!! π€ Vikings, you'll see me hobbling around on campus with a cane or on a cart as I finish up my recovery, but all went well, my new hip is doing great and I can't wait to get back to 100%! I've missed you all and can't wait to get back into the swing of things, be around to support our Viking sports and activities, as well as support our students and teachers on campus during the day! Don't be surprised if you see me wearing Halloween themed attire every day (except Viking Friday's of course) because October is my absolute favorite month of the year!! You may even see me do a few Halloween spooks around campus to students and staff, so be on the lookout!! π»
As we begin the second half of our first semester, I want to take a moment to encourage all of you to focus on what truly matters: your academics and the kind of person you choose to be each day. Fall Break was a great time to reset, refocus, and now it's time to push yourselves to be the best versions of yourselves, both in the classroom and in how you treat others. We are all Vikings, and being a Viking means striving for excellence, showing respect, and supporting one another in positive ways.
One thing that can quickly derail our progress is the negative use of social media, particularly online bullying. I was saddened to learn that right before break, there were a few incidents like this with MVA students. Social media can be a powerful tool for connection, but when used to spread rumors, attack others, or stir up drama, it becomes harmful. This behavior is not a reflection of who we are as Vikings. I want to remind everyone not to participate in social media bullying or engage with posts or pages that are hurtful to others. Even if you donβt personally make the posts, liking, commenting, or following those accounts makes you a part of the problem, and there will be disciplinary consequences for anyone involved. If you have any information that will help us put an end to these cases, please come see me or Mr. Murillo and you will remain anonymous.
Letβs CHOOSE to be better, Vikings! Let's lift each other up, stay focused on your academics, and be proud of the positive impact you can have on those around you. Together, we can continue to create a school environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and motivated to succeed. Letβs finish this semester strong!
Let's make it a great week, Vikings!! π

Thank you in advance for your support!
Join the District Student Advisory Committee!!
We are excited to invite students to join the District Student Advisory Committee, where they can play a crucial role in shaping the future of our schools. - Are passionate about representing their peers.
- Want to make a meaningful impact on the educational experience.
- Are eager to share their ideas and perspectives with district leadership.
