From the desk of Principal Zeigler
Happy Valentines Day! I hope everyone has been reminded in some way today how much they are loved.
Students enjoyed a performance of Alice in Wonderland from the Paper Mill Playhouse this week. It was a great show. We also celebrated 100 days of school on Tuesday! 100 days went by pretty quickly!
Mrs. Leanne Ulrich has joined the Brayton community as our Brayton School Secretary. She can be reached at lulrich@summit.k12.nj.us. Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Ulrich to Brayton. We are very happy to have her here.
Please remember that schools are closed on February 17th and 18th in honor of Presidents Day. Enjoy the 4 day weekend and we'll see you on Wednesday, February 19th.
In Partnership,
Shane Zeigler
Upcoming Dates

Red Flag Days🚩
Just a friendly reminder: In the morning, students will always line up outside in assigned areas except for mornings with inclement weather. Supervision begins at 8:05 and doors open for students at 8:15am.
Red flags are flown during inclement weather days. Inclement weather consists of heavy precipitation or extreme cold. This information can also be found in the Brayton School Family Handbook.
Students are allowed to bring umbrellas to school.

On inclement weather mornings, many will be driving their children to school and dropping them off. Inclement weather mornings are those mornings where there is heavy precipitation or extreme cold. A red flag will fly on both Myrtle Ave. and the Junior Playground to indicate an “in-day” arrival. Upon entering the school at 8:05 am, students will proceed to the gym, where they will remain under aide supervision until 8:15 when their teachers will come to meet them. Please ensure that students are dressed appropriately for the weather.

Citizens of the Month 2G and 3I
Citizens of the Month (2G and 3I)
Thank you to the Brayton Bobcat community! With your help, January’s reusable bag collection was a huge success! As a result, the collection has been extended through the end of February. 2G and 3I will continue to collect reusable grocery bags and donate them to G.R.A.C.E. Each Friday the bags will be picked up by a member of G.R.A.C.E. and then used for their food distribution program. Thank you for your continued support in making this a worthwhile and successful service project!
Sincerely,
Rob Gannon and Christina Inghilterra
